9/21 Beech Knoll


House, c1820-40. Diaper brick with slate roof. 2-storey, 3 bays
with central door to stair hall. 2 rooms deep and rear room
extended by 3 bays to left to meet coach-house, (q.v.). Rendered
portico with cornice and parapet and 6-panelled door, part glazed
with 3-pane fanlight over. 12-pane sashes with concealed boxes in
painted reveals, and gauged flat brick arches, tripartite to ground
floor. Wide boxed eaves and hipped roof with internal valley. Left
and rear stacks. Wing with 4-panelled door and fanlight in 3rd bay,
and 16-pane sashes to first floor. Central stack and roof hipped
