5/110 Chilton House Barn

Barn. C18. 18 inch brick sill walls to 1.5m carrying
weatherboarded timber framing. Tiled roof. 11 bays, with cart
entrance in 4th and 8th bays. Jowled posts with tension braced
wall studs. Brackets to ties and king posts and struts. Midstreys
extended by 1½ bays to south. The barn orignally had full
partition between 6th and 7th bays. Lean to outshuts between
midstreys under same roof.
