Protestant free school, now house. 1824, by Robert Abraham. Ashlar
limestone with slate roofs. Central octagon containing entrance,
and classrooms on cardinal points forming Latin cross. Classroom
wings gabled on all sides, 3-light deeply moulded intersecting
tracery and glazing bars. Eaves table and crocketedpinnacles on
gables. Octagon with clerestory Tudor 2-light windows, all windows
with hoodmoulds. Lantern over octagon with crenellated parapet, 2-
light windows and false gunloops.
