5/161 Garden walls at Littlecote House,
on north side of house


GV II

Garden walls. C17-C18 Flint, part raised in height in brick,
tiled copings; extending from north-west corner of house to river
walk, returning east along river, and turning south to meet end of
Laundry-Gun Room block (q.v.), and second wall enclosed within,
brick laced flint and 13 inch brickwork enclosing grassed areas to
the east. Brick piers with moulded stone copings and lead animal
crests, supporting wrought-iron gates opening to riverside walk
opposite centre of house facade. Listed for group value as
important to the setting of Littlecote House (q.v.).
