Milestone, after 1814. Painted sarsen. Half cylindrical shaft,
grooved at top. Incised inscription illegible, over painted with
legends; Left, SWINDON 13 MILES. Right, HUNGERFORD 3 MILES. Stone
probably relocated from opposite side of carriageway and set
deeper, obscuring base.
