4/229 The Cedars



House. C18, stucco, with added parallel block on south, c1800,
brick with vitrified vertical patterning. Slate roofs. 2-storey,
attics, and cellars. 4 bays, central hall in later section leads
to stair in earlier build. South elevation symmetrical about
central door, but- contemporary bay to right. 6-panel door with
elaborate fanlight. 12-pane sashes in large 2-storey bow windows.
Gauged brick lintels to windows. Wide eaves.
Interior: Drawing room left of hall has cornice and central plaster
medallion, and marble fireplace.
