SU 27 SE RAMSBURY SPRING HILL

Farmhouse. 1654 and later. Timber framed, encased in brick
early C19 as 2 cottages. Tiled roof. 1 storey and attic with
cellar at south end. 3 room baffle entry plan with kitchen
extension at rear of right (north) bay. Extensions c1970 to
south. Roof extended down over rear lean-to. Boarded door in
gabled porch; C20 timber casements, similar windows in attic
gables. Plat band.
Interior has chamfered spine beams on brackets over chamfered fire
beams. Timber framed wall between bays 2 and 3 and reset C17 door
to rear of drawing room. Clustered 4-flue brick stack with
datestone, and dormer over 3rd bay.
