9/52 Waterworks pumphouse
II
Pump house for private waterworks, 1899. Header bond red brick.
Circular in plan with offsetting top and bottom courses and brick
dome, latter with expressed headers and crenellated terminal
feature. Boarded doors, also curved in plan, with cast iron
hinges. Dedication stone inscribed in Gothic majescules, reading
WEXCOMBE WATERWORKS./ THE GIFT OF WILLIAM CORBIN FINCH/ AD 1899.
Reservoir to rear not included.
