II
House, c1800. Limestone ashlar, tiled roof. 3-storey, 3 x 4 bays.
Central entrance within half-round Ionic portico. Pair of 3-
panelled oak doors.Wide central bay defined above plat band by
simple quasi-pilasters and open pedimented gable. Central 4-light
first floor window. Lateral bays have, ground floor - pair of 8-
pane sashes, first floor, 12-pane sashes, top floor, 6-pane sashes.
Wide boxed eaves. Rear elevation has 3-storey 3-bay bow window of
12- and 6-pane sashes. Roof hipped.
Interior not seen. The Huth Library was accommodated here until
1918.
