Farmhouse, C17, C18 and C19. Brick, with stone raised quoins and
dressings, tiled roof. Two storeys and attics. Five window bays.
Central stone doorcase with 6-panelled door and fanlight, and
bracketed hood. Canted ground floor bay window to left of door.
Upper windows have moulded timber casements. Gable stacks.
Extension to left is probably earlier structure extending one bay
into present house, and with large inglenook fireplace with timber
lintel. This bay rebuilt in C18 and extended right to give present
form, and moulded stone fireplace and chamfered ogee-stopped beams
inserted, giving house with central stair hall and flanking dining
and drawing rooms. Block added to rear 1811-1816, with hipped
slate roof and 12-pane sashes with concealed boxes. Two hipped
dormers to front.
