Enford Hill Cottage


Cottage. C17, with later alterations. Timber framing, mostly
replaced with colourwashed brick. Thatched roof. Single storey
and attic, 3 bays, with lean-to on left of clunch and flint. Axial
stack to central bay. C20 stable door leading to stair hall. C19
casement windows but C20 bow window to right bay. Remnant timber
framing in first bay only, 2 panels high. Lean-to to rear of left
bay. Roof half-hipped with 2 flush dormers. The cottage occupies
an important position in the village scene.
