Description

MANNINGFORD MANNINGFORD ABBOTS
SU 15 NW
2/81 Abbotts Mill
II
Watermill and house. Early-mid C19, brick with slate roofs, the
upper floors of the mill rebuilt in the early C20. House of two
builds, 2-storey, with 16 and 12-pane sashes and stone wedge
lintels, extended to left by 1 bay to include central door in
glazed porch and matching windows. The extension probably replaces
an increase of the mill from 4 to 5 bays into the right bay of the
house. The mill is 3 storeys, rebuilt but for arch over millrace.
Iron-paned hinged windows with segmental brick heads. Three
loading doors one to each floor, in left bay. At present (August
1985) used for storage.
