Farmhouse. C17-C18. Brick with thatched roof. Two storeys, 6
bays, with rear extension on left of 2 bays. The 3 north bays have
ashlar quoins and stone moulded and mullioned windows with
transomes and gauged brick arches. Stone mid-wall string.
Entrance in left bay to passage to stair at rear. Six-panelled
door with stone surround and simple bracketed wood canopy.
Building extended in C18 to left by further 3 bays, with timber
cross windows and brick dentilled string. Moulded timber eaves
runs through. Roof hipped. Rear wing is timber framed and
probably represents the earliest phase, a 2-bay cottage. Refaced
in early C19 in brick, therefacing taken over the gable of the
main block, and having cogged eaves. Room over stair on rear.
