ST 96 NE BROMHAM CHITTOE HEATH

2/8 Manor Farmhouse

Estate farmhouse, c1850-60, squared ironstone rubble with ashlar
dressings, slate roofs and ashlar octagonal stacks. Two storeys,
T-plan, Tudor style with stone mullion windows and hoodmoulds.
Front has projecting crosswing to right with ridge stack of 3
shafts, flush quoins and 3-light window to each floor. Main range
to left has projecting gabled porch with cambered-head doorway and
hoodmould, 3-light window to left with 2-light above under small
eaves gable. In angle to crosswing a small first floor single
light. Stack to rear of ridge with 2 shafts. Crosswing has
projecting 2-storey gabled wing to east side. Rear of main range
has lean-to verandah on timber posts. All windows have small-paned
casements.
