Farmhouse, C17, roughcast with ashlar dressings and slate roof.
Two storeys and attic, T-plan with ovolo-moulded stone mullion
windows. Main range has left end stack, 4-light and 2-light upper
windows, 4-light ground floor window with dripstone and 6-panel
door in gabled timber porch. Between upper windows, an ashlar
plaque, possibly a sundial with 2 Baroque capitals above similar to
those on No 11 Church Street, Lacock, which are said to come from
the demolished Bowden Park of c1684, and those on Rowde Hall, Rowde
(q.v.). To right, crosswing projects with 4-light windows with
king-mullions to main floors, dripstone over lower window, first
floor dripcourse. Attic has timber 3-light leaded window with
carved lintel. Side wall stack. Main range end wall has blocked
2-light attic window and sash window to main floors, in ovolo
moulded frames. Door to left. Rear of crosswing has exposed
timber framing on inner side and one upper window with carved
timber lintel. Brick hipped extensions beyond. Main range has
brick rear addition.
