9/134 Myrtle Cottage
II
Cottage, gable end to street. C17. Colourwashed sarsen and part
brick with some timber framing. Thatched and shingled roofs. Two
storeys. Left block of 1 bay with former end lobby entry against
gable stack. To right, one bay timber framed, and beyond a C20
brick bay with shingled roof. Entrance now through glazed porch
into stair hall within framed bay. Glazed door. Paned windows
with timber lintels. Thatch quarter hipped and gable stack rebuilt
in C20.
Interior has in stone bay, chamfered spine beam with notched ogee
and bar stops resting on stone stack with indications of former
oven. Stair in rear right corner now replaced. Timber framed
partition to second bay. Clasped purlin roof.
