11/102 Gatepiers and gates on north side
of east garden, Avebury Manor

GV II

Gate and gate piers. Piers pre-1724 and relocated. Gate probably
C18 or C19. Rubble sarsen piers with limestone cappings. Iron
gates. Piers have tall conical tops ending in ball finials,
probably those illustrated in Stukeley's engraving as being on the
east access of the house. Gate has side sections and overthrow
with crestings.
