Description

AVEBURY BRAY STREET, Avebury Trusloe
SU 06 NE
(north side)
4/63 Little Acre

II

House. C17 and later. Painted sarsen, extended in brick.
Thatched roof. Two storeys, 5 bays. Left 2 bays of stone with
brick dressings, with gable lobby entry on right. Boarded door
with thatched porch. Building extended to left in C19, probably a
rebuild of shorter stone outbuilding, now 2 bays with lean-to at
gable end. Leaded windows to left section, timber paned windows to
latter. Roof hipped to left. C20 two-bay rear extension to left
end. An example of a possibly longhouse derived plan.
