Inn, mid C18, formerly The Catherine Wheel, after 1855 farmhouse
with C19 alterations and additions. Brick on limestone sills.
Slate roof. Three storeys, 5 bays, with 4-bay return on east side
and C19 gabled bay and lean-to at rear. C19 crenellated Bath stone
porch with round arch and carved spandrels, and glazed doors.
Twelve-pane sashes within cambered headed openings and gauged brick
lintels having stone keys. Central window has moulded brick
pilasters and entablature. Moulded eaves and hipped roof. Main
stack in second bay. Roof hipped. The Inn was the meeting place
of the political Beckhampton Club in early C19.
