6/141 Canal Bridge at
the Bridge Inn

GV II

Road Bridge over Kennet and Avon Canal. c1806-7. Brick, with
stone copings. Bridge splayed on plan. An elliptical arch of 13
inch bullnosed bricks. Two-brick string at base of parapet. Flush
half-round stone copings ending in slight piers. Stone capped
revetment to towpath under bridge, and recess for sluice or gates.
Group value with the Bridge Inn (q.v.).
