Farmhouse. c1860. Flemish brickwork with raised stone quoins and
dressings. Two storeys and attic, 3 bays. central through hall to
rear stair well. Two bay extension of later C19 to right.
Entrance in 2-storey porch, with 6-panelled door within chamfered
flush ashlar limestone surround, and label mould over. Four-pane
plate glass sashes alsp within flush chamfered stone surrounds and
label hoods. Heavy stone dentilled eaves and parapet over with
large vases on angle blocks. Two stone quoined stacks. Extension
has stone wedge lintels over 16-pane sashes retaining crown glass.
Interior: Rear drawing room has stone Gothic fireplace, and
papier-mach vine-scroll cornice to this and front reception room.
Stair well and some upper rooms have slightly coved ceilings.
