House, gable to street. C17. Timber framed with wattle and daub
infilling, thatched roof. Single storey and attic, lobby entry
plan with entrance in central half bay, probable parlour-hall to
left and further narrower bay forming inner room, now kitchen.
Original kitchen to right bay, with partition removed extending
present living room into second bay, possibly original dairy.
Framing 3 panels high with ogee corner braces. C20 boarded door
and paned timber casement windows. Four flush dormers to front, 3
to rear. Central stack and roof half-hipped both ends. Interior
has chamfered spine beams to parlour, with incised date of 1661 on
soffit, and elaborate chamfer stops. Timber fire lintel and ovens
to both fireplaces back to back. Western bay rebuilt.
