5/7 Neate's Farmhouse

II

Farmhouse, now two dwellings. C18 and early C19. Brick on sarsen
sill walls. Thatched roof. Two bays, single storey and attic with
a one bay wing, all later raised to 2 storeys, and extended to
south by further 2 bays, 2 storeys. Entrances in outbuildings,
that to south end C20 and not of special interest. Twelve-pane
sash and tripartite windows, and some casement windows. Roof
hipped and flush dormer incorporated in raising of the north end
dwelling walls.
