House. Late Cl7. Diaper Flemish brickwork, slate and tiled roofs.
Two storeys and attic, main block of 4 window bays and contemporary
kitchen wing. Reset entrance in end bay through bolection moulded
stone doorcase over 3 steps. Stone cross windows with brick
relieving arches to both floors and moulded plinth and mid-wall
string. Large brick stack lateral to end bay at junction of wing,
with offsets above eaves. Roof with gablet and attic window.
Entrance bay altered, and entrance probably re-sited.
Interior has large monolithic stone lintel to living room
fireplace. Reset moulded stone lintel with spandrels to kitchen
backing on to same stack. Plan reorganized in c1970. Building is
the remains of a larger house reduced in size early Cl9.
