Sunnylands

GV II

Barn and stables. C17-C18. Timber framed with weatherboarded
cladding, stabling of brick. Thatched roofs. Range of buildings
at right angles to-road, comprising, nearest road, a 5-bay brick
stalling with continuous manger and fodder tallet over. Corner
stair. Block continued by 5 bay timber structure, open fronted on
jowled posts, the two further bays without roofs at time of survey
(October 1985), and at end, a 5 bay barn with a single aisle on
east side, set at right angles forming stockyard. The roof has
ties with raking struts to the principal rafters, which diminish
above the clasped purlins. The barn is continued to the north by a
further 2 bays store. The group forms an important visual
termination at the south end of the village.
