6/113 Road boundary wall to Pewsey
Hospital Grounds

GV II

Wall defining workhouse against road. c1840-50. Limestone ashlar
with chamfered copings and end pier having large cavetto cornice
and weathered cap. Wall 1.68m high, sweeping down to 1.12m high,
total 84m long returning to gate to lodge (q.v.). Wall contains
flush cast-iron post box of c1930, by Derby Castings Limited.
Included for value with other buildings of Pewsey Hospital.
