2/124 Culley's Farmhouse

II

Farmhouse. Late C17-early C18. Diaper brick partly tile hung, and
sarsen walling to wing. Late C20 tiled roof. Two storeys, attic
and cellar. T-plan, with main stem of 3 bays with central stair
hall, end stack and cross passage to rear, and 3-bay cross wing.
Entrance within C19 lean-to at end of cross passage. Timber cross
windows with leaded glazing, probably early C20 replacements within
segmental headed openings. Plat band. Original door in extruded
corner in re-entrant angle, and further external door to living
room blocked. Roof hipped, 2 dormers to south side, one to cross
wing.
Interior has fine C17 panelled room with cornice and round headed
alcoves in end room. Late C17 stair with turned balusters. Late
C19 stair in cross wing. Stone fireplace in attic.
