SU 16 SW (south side)

5/174 Nos 50 and 51


Pair of cottages. Mid C18. Blue vitrified brick on stone
footings, and with red brick vertical banding. Thatched roof.
Single storey and attic, each cottage of 3 bays with doors to inner
bays with thatched canopies. Timber casement windows with
segmental heads. Uninscribed arched date panel at centre. Thatch
swept over 4 dormers. No 50 extended to left by 1 bay, and
thatched. No 51 extended by 2 bays to right, c1980. No 50 said to
have inglenook fireplace.
