6/255 Upper Farmhouse

GV II

Farmhouse. C18. Brick with thatched roof. Two storeys, 3
bays, extended to left by 1 bay in early C19. Door central to the
3 bays, glazed, with doorcase and reeded fascia. Eighteen paned
sashes to ground floor, 12-paned to first floor, all panes longer
on horizontal axis. Cambered brick arches to openings. Left
bay has canted bay window with reeded and dentilled fascia and
swept lead roof. Stack at junction with extension and rear stack
to the extension. Flat roofed 2-storey C20 extension to rear, and
a C19 outbuilding with gable stack now attached to right end, at
rear.
