3/52 The Lodge
II
Cottage, later lodge to Conock Manor (q.v.). Late C17-early C18,
and early C19. Timber framed with colourwashed brick noggings, on
replaced brick sill. Thatched roof. Single storey and attic, 2
bays, with 1 bay single storey extension of early C19 to left.
Framing 3 panels high with straight corner braces. Door central to
left, heated, bay. Boarded door with triple arched lights within a
wide timber lattice porch and swept metal clad roof. Small bay
window to right bay. Thatch swept over 2 flush dormers, each of
two 2-centred lights with leaded glazing. Thatch hipped to right.
Central stack and external stack to left before brick extension,
which has 'Y' tracery window and half hipped roof. Single large
flush dormer to rear, and outbuildings at right angles.
