Cottage. C17. Roughcasting on timber framing on greensand lower
walls. Pantiled roof. Single storey and attic, raised to 2
storeys. Two bays, with entrance to through passage, now removed,
and room each side, being main living room to left, and unheated
bay to right. Central 4-panelled door, and large paned shop window
to ground floor, 3-light casement windows to upper floor. Gable
stack to left. Brick lean-to extension behind stack containing
stair.
Interior: Chalkstone stack with timber beam with run-out chamfers.
Spine beam to living room has elaborate chamfer stops, pyramid, bar
and raised octagon. Simpler chamfer stops to inner room.
