House. Early-mid C18, probably a front block to an earlier
cottage. Brick with stone tiled roof. Two storeys, attics and
cellar, 5 bays. Central bay broken forward, plat band to side bays
offsetting to continuous brick dentilled eaves. Central half-
glazed door, early C19, with circular swept copper clad canopy on
slender iron columns. Twelve-paned sashes with wide boxes, gauged
brick lintels and stone sills. Three gabled dormers with stone
slated cheeks. On rear end of rear wing, the original early C18
pedimented and dentilled doorcase and hood on consoles. Rear block
on right rebuilt or heightened of earlier structure in early-mid
C19.
Interior has stair hall with fine C18 dog leg stair and turned
balusters. Acanthus cornice in right parlour, and C20 panelling,
and early C19 fireplace in left parlour. Earlier cross beams in
rear kitchen.
