SU 26 SW (west side)
2/17 Nos 22 and 24

Two cottages, probably originally built as one house. Early C18.
Timber framed with wattle and daub infill partly replaced by brick.
Thatched roof. Single storey and attic, 1: 1/2: 1 bays, extended by
further half bay at each end in C20. Slender framing 3 panels high
with straight corner braces. Doors at outer ends of main
structure. Three-light paned windows and 2-light paned flush
dormers, one to each bay, and one to each outer extension. Central
2-flue brick stack. Roof to left cottage, No 24, slightly higher.
Rear service extension to No 24 with asbestos roof, and C20 flat
roofed extension to rear of No 22.
