II

House, now public house, set at right angles to road. C17. Timber
framed with brick, noggings, thatched roof. Single storey and
attic, 3 bays. Framing 3 panels with with straight corner braces.
Lobby entry plan, with entrance off centre to central bay replacing
original door. Thatched canopy. Twelve-paned sash window to
right, paned casement to left, and one flush dormer. C20 cross
wing on left built to match. Major stack between centre and right
bay. Lean-to on south side. Roof half hipped to right.
Interior: Brick open fireplace with timber lintel. Chamfered
spine beams with ogee and bar stops.
