Early C19. A large house (now vicarage) overlooking the town. Main front
is to the south. 2 storeys. Ashlar. Centre section of the front breaks
forward with a large curved bow taking up the centre. Moulded cornice
and parapet. Moulded stringcourse dividing the storeys. 3 windows to
each floor of the bow, and 1 window to each side section. Ground-floor
windows to each side are in shallow round-headed recesses. All windows
are sashes in plain reveals, glazing bars missing. In centre on ground-floor
is a French window with double glazed doors. All the windows in the bow
have decorative hoods over for blinds. To left side is a large one-storey
Victorian porch with cornice and parapet. Triangular pediment towards
west, supported by entablature on floriated volutes which merge with the
architrave surround of the window below. This is an important building
on the hillside overlooking the town.
