Possibly C16, altered later. Rubble, ashlar dressings, modern pantile
roof. Pair of square ashlar chimneys set diagonally. 3 gables, side
ones triangular, centre semi-circular. 2 storeys 3 windows, 1st floor
windows 2-light casements, glazing bars, stone mullions and dripmoulds
(restored); centre window has cambered head, keystone and imposts, wooden
casement with glazing bars. Ground floor windows 3-light casements, glazing
bars, stone mullions and dripmoulds (restored). 2 small diamond-leaded
fixed-light semi-circular headed windows, one each side of door. Central
door with "flattened" pointed arch and chamfered mouldings. Semi-circular
blocked archway on ground floor and over left hand window. Small wheel
window opening each side of lst floor left hand window. Similar openings
(restored) in each side gable. Flat oblong tablet (no inscription) in
centre gable. Blocked 4-centred archway with keystone on left. The appearance
of the building suggests that it may have been used as a stable or coach-house.
Considerably restored.
