Immediately opposite No 4, St Margaret's Place widens to the east. At
this point there is a curved garden wall, approximately 2 1/2 ft high. Possibly
C18. Coursed rubble with stone cappings. In the middle of the wall are
2 ashlar gatepiers, approximately 5ft high. These gatepiers have entablatures
supporting stone pyramids, one of which retains a stone ball at its apex.

Nos 34 St Margarets Hill, and all the listed buildings in St Margarets
Place form a group.
