Late medieval. 2 storeys, with high-pitched gable, modern pantile roofs.
Timber frame with close studs, and plaster infilling. Barge-boerds carved
with "Tudor" cresting. Single-light wood-framed casement in gable, 2-light
ditto on 1st floor with carved wooden string at sill level. Modern shop
front on ground floor.

All listed buildings in The Shambles form a group with King's Arms Hotel,
Nos 2, 5 and 6 Coppice Hill, Nos 27 to 29 (consec) Silver Street and No
2 Kingston Road.
