Includes No 1 White Hill. Late C18/early C19 building which turns the
corner into White Hill. Colour-washed. 3 storeys plus attic. Modern
pantiled roof, hipped to right where it turns the corner. 1 dormer with
wooden shutter. Stringcourses divide the storeys. 4 windows per storey,
including those on corner (1 blocked on second floor). Sashes in chamfered
reveals, glazing bars missing on ground-floor. 2 plaster roundels with
relief figures above ground floor windows. Probably original small shop-window
to left, with wooden entablature supported on curved brackets. Fixed
glazing bars divide window into 8 large panes. Central doorway with moulded
surround and large hood over supported on curved brackets. 1/2 glazed wooden
panelled door. This building has an extension which continues to the
rear up White Hill (No 1). 2 storeys but with the same roof level as
the main front on Silver Street. Stringcourse, which continues from the
second floor of main front. Ashlar, pantiled roof with slates to right-hand
end. 8 windows grouped 2-1-2 (1 blocked) -1-1 (blocked) -1. Some sashes,
some fixed windows, glazing bars. 1 large door to left and 1 small to
the right.

Nos 15 to 17 (consec), all the listed buildings in Whiteheads Lane, Nos
1 to 4 (consec) and Nos 7 and 8 White Hill form a group.
