Nos 70 and 70A to street, the other numbers contained in rear wing. Dated
1810 with similar detail to Nos 72 and 74. 2 storeys red brick with flush
stone quoins and band over ground floor. 3 glazing bar sash windows on 1st
floor single hung) with raised surrounds and keys. Astragal and cornice,
curved to right with rainwater head marked "WL 1810". Parapet. Old tile
roof with gable end chimneys. 2 modern shops on ground floor and doorway
to No 72 (which adjoins) to left with keystone. Return with lower 2 storey
extensions forming Nos 62-68 (even), and a small yard at rear of Nos 70-74
(even). Listed for group value.
