Late C17/early C18 front to very much older house, much altered inside. 2 storeys red brick with altered ground floor. Old tile roof, gable end chimney to the right, front wall chimney to left. No 16 framed by brick piers. 1st floor has moulded mullion windows (casements) with corner stops; 5 windows with 2-3-2-3-2 lights. Cogged eaves cornice extends from centre of No 18 and across No 18A. No 16 has a moulded flush framed late glazed sash to right below fascia joined with door. No 18 has central late glazed sash with moulded flush frame under brick flat arch. The door of No 18 is roughly central to the 3 properties, 6 panels (upper 2 glazed) with narrow over light. No 18A has a late C19 shop front with 3 panelled framing pilasters, scrolled brackets to fascia with dentil cornice, 2 plate glass windows and glazed door to left. 2 storey half rubble built rear extensions possibly C16. Interior: Presence of older rafters within roof shows that present front widened house by some 3 ft. The apex of 3 (possibly cruck) trusses visible among roof rafters of heavy scantling. Gigantic stone chimney stack now in rear wing not in line with former roof (denoting 'L' plan).
