Continuous roofline with Nos 1 and 3; once the town residence of the Lopes
family. Late C17 or early C18 altered. 2 storeys. Painted brick; projecting
plinth with moulded stone top, moulded stone string at 1st floor level. Chamfered
quoins, moulded stone surrounds to windows which have rubbed brick flat arches,
moulded stone eaves cornice, old tile roof. Glazing bar sash windows, 3 on
1st floor. Central doorway with moulded stone surround; fine arched hood
mentioned in previous list shorn off. The door has been removed and a modern
door inserted: short passage to 8 panel door. A shop has been inserted to
right of doorway. Single bay extension to left framed by quoining, ground
floor window matches those of No 3, 1st floor window matches those of No 5;
traces of a former carriage arch at rear of this bay.
