9/55 Walls, railings, gates and gate
piers to front and east side of
Hospital of St. John

GV II

Garden walls, front and side gates and gate piers. c.1770. English
garden wall bond brick walls with pitched stone coping with
spearhead railings, side walls same but with concrete coping.
Front piers limestone ashlar with chamfered plinth and plain
cappings to wrought-iron overthrow with lantern, double cast-iron
gates with spearheads. Side gate to east wall has iron posts with
small urn finials. Stone and iron bootscraper in wall to right of
main gates.
