Pair of semi-detached estate cottages. c1860, for Longleat Estate.
Coursed rubble stone, with brick dressings, tiled roof. 'L'-plan.
Two storey, 3-windowed; casements. No 69 has planked door in
gabled porch with coped verge and 3-light mullioned casement with
hoodmould to right, to left is canted bay with mullioned casements
and fishscale tiled roof, No 70 has planked door in moulded case
with hoodmould and 3-light mullioned casement with hoodmould to
left. First floor has three 2-light mullioned casements with
hoodmoulds and two gables with blind loopholes and cusped
bargeboards and pendant pinnacles. Left return of wing has planked
door and two 3-light casements. Rear of main range has integral
lean-to with 3-light casements, 2-light and 1-light casements to
first floor.
