GV II

Cottage in row. Mid C17, C18 rebuilding. Coursed rubble stone,
concrete tiled roof, formerly thatched, gable end brick stacks.
Two storey, 2-windowed; casements. Planked door in C20 porch to
right of centre, 3-light recessed chamfered mullioned casement
either side. First floor has two 3-light leaded casements. Rear
has 2 storey C20 extension.
Interior has deeply chamfered beam with stepped stops, open
fireplace with chamfered cambered lintel on stone jambs. Surviving
timber-framing above fireplace lintel and to first floor, suggest a
formerly 2-bay timber-framed cottage with smoke bay at west end;
exposed truss has lower king strut rising from beam directly above
fireplace lintel to collar above, tie-beam possibly missing.
