GV II

Lodge to country house. Dated 1856 on pediment, for Joseph
Everett. Rubble stone and limestone ashlar, Welsh slate roof,
group of four ashlar stacks. Single storey and attic. Tuscan
distyle in antis portico facing drive to house, central 4-panelled
door in moulded architrave, pediment over with date and Everett
family crest. Left return has three 12-pane sashes in moulded
architraves, chamfered rusticated quoins. Rear has lean-to
extension with slate roof, pediment with lunette. Right return has
12-pane sashes. Interior not inspected. Attached to right are
ashlar dwarf walls with cast-iron spearhead railings to three
ashlar gate piers with ball finials, double spearhead gates. Very
similar to lodge on Norton Road (q.v.).
