Detached house. Late C17 and early C18. Rubble stone and ashlar,
tiled or Welsh slated roofs, brick stacks. Two-storey, 6-windowed;
varied fenestration. Three different builds. Six-panelled door in
chamfered rusticated surround to left of late C17 right-hand build,
to right are two 16-pane flush sashes, to ground and first floor,
eaves raised early C19. Early C18 build to centre has two 12-pane
sashes to ground and first floor, the ground floor in moulded stone
architraves with pulvinated friezes and pediments, the first floor
sashes in moulded stone architraves, chamfered rusticated quoins.
Late C17 build to left has two 2-light recessed chamfered
mullioned casements and one 2-light casement to ground floor, first
floor has two 3-light mullioned casements. Right return has
blocked recessed chamfered light to first floor. Rear has 1930s
bay to left, half-glazed and planked door, casements and sashes,
the C18 build has round-arched stair window with keystone and 2-
light and 3-light mullioned casements.
Interior: baffle-entry into C17 right-hand range, chamfered beams
with ogee stops. Early C18 range retains good original features;
dogleg stairs with two columnar balusters per open string tread,
moulded handrail and turned newels with square finials, ground
floor room has fielded panelling, shutters and door with 4 fielded
panels.
