7/56 The Old Manor House
Detached house. Late C17, restored 1947. Banded rubble stone and
dressed limestone, thatched roof with coped verges and brick stack.
Single-storey with attic and cellar. Blocked doorway to left, 3-
light mullioned casement to left and two 3-light mullioned
casements to right; all are C20 replacements. Two-light blocked
mullioned window to cellar. Four brick eyebrow dormers with 2-
light leaded casements. Right return has two small chamfered
lights to ground floor and 2-light mullioned casement to attic.
Rear has C20 chamfered doorway right of centre with 3-light
mullioned casement to right and two 2-light mullioned casements to
left, single-light lighting stairs, three brick eyebrow dormers
with 2-light casements. Interior not accessible at time of survey
(March 1987), but said to contain chamfered cross-beam ceiling and
open fireplaces, plaster ceiling with crests.
