Boundary post. Circa 1840. Cast-iron T-shaped post with low
pedimented top and raised lettering: CODFORD ST PETER across the
top and ASHTON GIFFORD T. CODFORD T. below. One of series of
cast-iron boundary posts and mile posts on turnpikes radiating from
Warminster and made by Carson and Miller, a Warminster firm of
ironfounders.
