(south side)
3/88 East Farmhouse
Farmhouse. C17, rebuilt early C19. Stucco rubble stone, hipped
thatched roof with brick stacks. Two-storey, 3-window. Central
door with 6 fielded panels in panelled reveals with reeded
architrave and trellised tent porch, 16-pane sash either side.
Three 16-pane sashes to first floor. Left return has 12-pane sash
to right, two 3-light casements to left, two 2-light segmental-
headed casements and square-headed 2-light casement to first floor,
several blocked C17 mullioned windows and evidence of raised eaves
suggesting a thorough rebuild of a C17 house in early C19. Right
return in English garden wall bond brick with 4-pane and 12-pane
sash and small casements, straight joint to centre of wall.
Single storey chalk block and flint outhouse attached to rear of
Interior retains C19 joinery: 6-panelled doors in moulded
architraves, window shutters.
